On March 18 our youth discussed and demonstrated what "Love Is A Verb" means.
The day started with a visit to a nearby nursing home, where they brought cheer and encouragement to the residents by singing, praying, and visiting with them. It was an impactful experience for both the residents and the youth.
They then came together to discuss this year's Global Youth Day theme, "Love Is A Verb". They looked at examples in the Bible and shared their personal experiences serving and being touched by others.
Everyone enjoyed a special fellowship lunch and the young people got on the road again, this time visiting a shut in church member. They once again blessed others with music and a message of love and hope.
It is always powerful to experience being the hands and feet of Jesus, blessing others in your sphere of influence. The theme stuck and the takeaway was clear - Love is a verb.
